Hennessy performance engineering was incorporated in 1991. Can not find any public records for motorsports you have the right to your opinion. But I couldn't find any evidence to support your claims.

hennessy came on a local forum a few years back and called everyone a bunch of "broke dick ****ers" because there was a thread where we were talking about the local tracks and lone star came up and people were discussing the price increase and how nothing was being done to improve amenities or safety. So a very large amount of locals know that he's a douche first hand. I'm sure that opinion has nothing to do with robbing parts off of one customer's car to finish others.....

I'm surprised that he allowed any public racing at lone star. According to Houston business journal article they purchased the track and acreage for testing purposes and room to build new facilities.
And yea if I heard people making negative remarks about my company in a public forum I would have called them out also, especially if most of it was based on hearsay and third and fourth party accounts. So just how many of these local boys owned vipers and other high performance vehicles? I'm finished. You can find someone else to have a boot pissing contest with

Sorry texan but a cursory google search found this article by Autoweek. I do not think they would ruin their reputation.

Maybe it's a Texas thing. I had a 98 GT and an 04 cobra, and his reputation and arrogance were well known then inside the industry. I remember when he was under Hennessy motorsports. I remember when he was sued by multiple dissatisfied customers. I remember he going into MULTIPLE forums and attacking his accusers, not attempting to clear the air. But hell, he won't ever work on anything of mine, so I guess my personal opinion doesn't matter, but that truck is ugly as hell.

I'm from Texas and I'm not going to defend anyone that rips customers off. Many builders have had problems, Hennessy.... Boyd Coddington, even though for years I was a Boyd fan years and years before the show. He filed bankruptcy and not all of his cars were great quality. Not sure if it just got out of hand in his case and a quality control issue or if he didn't care. Always seemed to me that he had great talent and expected everything to be a certain way. But also, he came off as a tool and a ***** at times. Another from Texas, 'Unique Performance' building 'Eleanor' mustangs for $500k+, Taking deposits of well over $250k, ripping customers before filing Chapter 7 and around 160 cars were seized. Carroll Shelby and Foose both had them building cars, I'm not accusing either of them of wrong doing. Not every one in Texas are like these people, and not everyone in Texas will defend their b.s.
