Let's dream for a minute my friends.
I've said this before in another thread, but a dream truck to me would be an Atlas body as it is:
With a 5.0 Ecoboost: (Then we'd have nothing to argue about..)
And an LX570 replica dash: (substitute Lexus stuff for a perfect MFT)
With appearance package seats:
With the Lincoln team working on transmission refinement, using the transmission calibration from an MKX.
Anyone with me? Do it up Ford! Build everything above in a reliable and quality driven package and I will pay whatever you charge me.

And that's what I see as being one of the hardest parts about designing a pickup interior, you have to design for an XL work pickup as well as everything up to a Platinum luxury pickup. Then listen to everyone complain because it isn't their style

Your dad isn't paying for the next one? J/K Yes I'm jealous... when I was young (many, many years ago) my parents co-signed for my first car loan on a Mercury Bobcat aka same thing as a Pinto.

I'm not a huge fan of that dash, looks too much like a car (obviously). Maybe a cross between the two? I just think a pickup should have a more masculine dash. They are, after all, designed to work so it still has to be reasonable for an XL.

But I can see what you mean. Making that interior look decent on both a Platinum and an XL would be a hard feat.
Your pickup actually inspired mine!

You're right again, you and your logic! Jokes aside, I've always thought the center stack on the LX looked broad and tough since It stands tall and wide from the rest of the dash as seen below:

All kidding aside, I feel blessed every day for what I have and what it means. And although my truck's problems are a nuisance sometimes I still feel very blessed. But the next truck is on me, I can tell you that! Haha.
