2014 STX gauge cluster...Boring
The gauge cluster in my Stx is quite boring looking compared to the xlt and fx4 gauge clusters. It screams "work truck" lol. Has anyone done anything to spruce them up? I have seen where people have swapped xlt and fx4 clusters in but I don't want to mess with mileage or the steering wheel controls.
I've seen overlays for the gauges on eBay but I've never actually seen one installed on these gauge clusters.
If anyone has done anything or has any ideas to improve the look of the basic gauge cluster from 2011-2014 please let me know! Thanks!

I think the only thing you can do is replace it.

You could try this. I was thinking of doing it, but have not had the time lately. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-OE...5VT4DN&vxp=mtr

It doesn't look too hard. I think you need to remove the cluster first. The mask should just screw in. Anyone with any experience with this? I am thinking of doing this at some point. Let us know if you try it.

Personally, I *HATE* chrome around the instrument cluster. I hate the sun in the afternoon gleaming on them blinding me.....Maybe a flat silver, but not something shiny at something I have to look at all the time

That particular one looks like it is painted silver, and grey. It doesn't look like the chrome ring XLT mask. The STX cluster does not have the led lines on the inside of the ring. This one looks like it would work well in the STX cluster.
