does anyone know if i can put factory tow mirrors on my platinum that doesn't have tow mirrors without running into any problems?

I imagine you could buy the factory tow mirrors that were designed for the higher end models and bolt them on but if I remember, only some have the power folding option and some don't.

It'll work out fine, But not power fold or power extend..

If you are thinking of switching up to towing mirrors, I would highly recommend it. Even if you don't tow, the added view with the convex mirror is huge! I picked up a set of off brand towing mirrors last year for my 2011 EcoBoost Screw, and absolutely love them. No they do not have power fold, or power extensions, but for the price I couldn't say no.

Also the service was excellent. One showed up and the puddle light was out. They didn't ask any questions and sent out an entire new mirror via priority shipping. I had it within two days and was back in business. They didn't even want the last one back, so now I have a spare passenger mirror in a box.


I will say the stock puddle lights are next to worthless. Unless it is a moonless night, you cannot really tell they are on. I replaced them with LEDs almost immediately and love the results. Well worth spending the extra $5 in my opinion.




Good luck, and while they are super easy to install, you can save time if you watch a YouTube video before starting.
