2014 fx4 rear vibration
I may beating a dead horse here, but here goes. I bought a 2014 Ford F150 supercrew 5.0l 157" bed. LOVE the truck. SO, I got the truck in Oct 2014 and drove it for about 6 months. I took it back to the dealership for a rear vibration which I suspected to be the tires unbalanced, bad tire, or flat spots. Dealer took tires off and rebalanced them. Still have a vibration at 70-75 mph. The passenger seat headrest shakes forward and backwards. I notice the vibration on every highway trip. In Oct 2015, I took the truck to a local shop , rotated and balanced the tires..... Vibration still there. SO, I schedule and appointment at my local dealership and even take a Tech for a ride to have him experience the vibration. Ford has the truck all day and tells me to pick it up cause," there is nothing wrong with it." I complain and the manager asks me to bring it back another day. Dropped it off a week later and mysteriously the mechanic test drove the truck with a vibration detection device that indicated my truck is "out of spec". He had to rebalance all the tires and reset the two piece driveshaft. I asked about the driveshaft and runout. CRICKETS. Oh, still have the vibration. Has anyone resolved this issue? Should I demand a driveshaft or tire replacement? Does this qualify for a Lemon Law? I'm running out of patience and ideas what to have fixed. Thanks .

Go to a tire shop and have them road force balance them. You can also go to a driveline specialty shop and have them look at your driveshaft, u joints and angles. Under warranty still you have the option of going to other dealerships to have it looked at.

Road force balancing is an option, we do that at our dealership but your local dealer may not have the equipment. I agree with wojo, don't pay for a diagnosis just take it elsewhere.

Like others have said, start with a road force balance. I had a horrible vibration at highway speeds. I had an alignment done and the tires balanced by the dealership and still had the problem. I had discount tire road force balance them and it got rid of the vibration. Dealer wanted $200 to do the road force but since I bought my tires at discount, they did it for free.

The 157" wheelbase trucks seem to be prone more to vibration for whatever reason.
There's a ton of information in these two threads. Little bit of a read, but your asking for information. Plenty here.

you're fighting a losing battle. TWO of my F150's had it to the point I couldn't stand it anymore. Balanced tires, Forced balance Tires, new drive shaft. took tires and wheels from another truck.... Still vibrated @ 55mph, and the shake and vibration in the cab was horrible. The bed did a nice little hop looking at it in the rear mirror.
The Tremor didn't have this shake/vibration, but it had the crappy Pirelli Tires.
