Exactly, I ran out of places too look and people to ask so I thats when I decided to join and find out if I am going crazy with a simple fix or if this is the problem I am expecting it might be (something wrong with the MultiFunction Switch, short or fray).

So looks like it was corrosion on some connections at the LED. They looked pretty good when I took them off and only affected the one wire to the blinker. Very interested.

I am going to clean the rest off and make sure that they are all good an reseal them better than when the bumper was put on.

In the end if I don't have any issues I wont be complaining.

Sounds like you'll want to make sure and pack those connections with dielectric grease this time around.

Default update

So I figured I owed you all an update.

After accepting defeat I brought my little monster in to get a look... Service was done, problem seemed fixed. At 3 weeks I thought i saw it again. But by 4 I clearly noticed it. Brought it back in this week ( week 6) and they had it for the whole week. Replaced bulbs, fixed some connections, and checked some additional places for any problems.

When I dropped my truck off my service guy saw the hyperflash. But no one could reproduce it after. They conducted the services I mentioned as precautions (great service) by Saturday when I picked my truck up I made it no more than 30 minutes before it happened again... We are both stumped...

Taking it in for a third time Tuesday

Have they replaced the multifunction switch in the steering column as well?

No. They keep saying it has to be the after market bumper. Which they have toyed with 3 times now

Well it's just me but I would have them put the stock one back on. Maybe there is an issue with the aftermarket one (some sort of grounding problem) or maybe they will find a wire or something they messed up when they switched the bumpers. It couldn't hurt and if it still does it, they might start looking at other things.

I will second this suggestion, little ***** in grease making contact with a copper dimples shield makes me think "bad connection". Next time it does it, fiddle with the switch assembly, see if it will speed up, slow down or flash normal.

Fortunately I have a better reason to remove the bumper, I bent it pulling out a chevy, love the z71, but it got badly stuck. Purely cosmetic, but I am going to one up the bumper I have. This will allow me to return everything to stock. Dealer said once I get it back to stop they will go to town, they suspect a lose connection in the most inopportune place.
