Default 2014 FX4 Low Voltage to Turn Signal

My '14 F150 is having issues with a short to the front right turn signal lamp.

Here is what I know,
- Bulb is fine
- Fuse is good
- Relay looked ok (but not sure if I checked the right one, could use help on this)
-Multifuntion switch wiring looks solid
- I am getting 8v at the blinker lamp (Yellow/Violet)

Short of walking the entire wiring harness looking for a short or breaking open the Multifuction switch to look at the board I don't know what to do.

Has anyone run into this issue?

Haven't of heard of anything common, time for a trip to the dealer, your warranty will cover it.

Hi Bob_Zilla,

I'm the Ford Service rep here; welcome to the forum! As Rnlcomp mentioned, I'd recommend bringing this to the attention of your dealership so they can help. What's the current mileage on your truck?

Under 10k, but fast approaching. Should be well within warranty. The thing is, I brought it in New York where the dealer mounted an aftermarket bumper. I am now down in Tenn, brought it in and the dealer took 2 hours and couldn't find anything wrong.

I am trying to bracket the problem, that way I can give them a better Idea what the problem is.

What led you to start looking into this in the first place? Was the turn signal not lighting at all or were you experiencing hyperflash with the bulb still lighting?

Did you check voltage on the other front turn signal for comparison?

Sounds good, Bob_Zilla. If you'd like, I'll be happy to loop in your regional customer service manager so they can help. Just send me a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership; I'll move this up the line.

I was getting the hyperflash, then I turn off then on the lamp and it would return to normal. It was really weird. I brought it to the dealer they looked for about an hour and a half and didnt find anything. I knew it wasnt the bulb, but I wanted to be sure, out of habit as an engineer I checked the voltage.

I check both blinker and running lamps on both sides and I am getting identical voltages across all except the right blinker.

Like I said, really weird.

How often is it happening? Did you give it the old, unplug the battery, type reset?

Yup, its now an all time thing, didnt use to be. So as often as I use the right signal. Rear signal works great.

To me, it sounds like the problem is either computer related or in the turn signal switch...definitely a ghost in the machine somewhere. I'm an engineer myself, and things like this tend to be the most frustrating.
