Default 2014 F150 Platinum leaky shock...

went for an oil & filter change and mechanic said come look at this.
Front passenger shock was leaking fluid and truck has 14k miles on it.
No bumpy roads or pot holes hit ever yet shock leaks like a sieve (sp).
In for warranty it goes.
Has anyone else with a 2014 had a bad and leaky shock?
Thanks

Yep. Discovered it while I was installing my leveling kit. Replaced under warranty.

Yup. Mine was discovered during my lift installation at ~20k miles. It was getting replaced with the struts in the kit anyway luckily

I think I know the answer already, but are they replacing both fronts, or just the bad one?

Ford only replaces the leaky shock not both front shocks.
At least that's what they told me.
Any other comments?

I had one leak on my 2011 at about 20,000 miles. dealer replaced under warranty. I just installed Rancho 9000's at 70,000 miles and originals were not leaking.

Yes...I went in for an oil change and they told me, both rear shocks are leaking.
I thought that was a stand up thing for the dealer to point that out, under warranty.
So with almost 27,000 on her, I'm getting new rear shocks.
I couldn't be happier with the timing to get free shocks, because I thoroughly believe they are only good to roughly 40,000 miles.

Manufacturing defects and issues occur. That's the way it goes.

I took all of mine off at 50k miles to install the BOSS coilovers and rear shocks. They were all just fine and aside from being dirty, had no issues or visible damage at all.

Stock twin tubes suck even when not leaking. Replace with high quality monotubes.
