So, I wanted to post this little PSA after I spent far too long messing with my pop and lock today..

First, make sure you download the NEW directions from their website. HERE

The kit I got had the wrong wire colors, and wrong directions for mounting the actuator... it said nothing about putting two washers under the actuator, which was causing some sort of binding, and preventing it from working.

As for the wiring.. The directions I got were for the passenger side only, but didn't specify that of course...

PopLockParker, are there instructions that show you how to disassemble the tailgate with the step and camera - I have a 2010 Lariat and have purchased the PL8250 but not sure now to disassemble and install.

I have installed a couple so far. No big issues to date. I'm just not sure where to tie into the harness on a two - door Tremor. I was gonna tackle it this coming weekend.

Some people find it easier to take the step off by removing the 6 bolts and then replacing it after installing the lock. There are currently no instructions for this but we are in the process of updating all of our current instructions. Again, if you need assistance please call our tech support at 800.342.5911.
