Why wouldn't you be able to tune a hemi? But I agree I love my ecoboost even though I have had a few minor issues.

Honestly don't know how (other than the gov. bailout) that chrysler has ever surviv First car was a Plymouth fury,I never could get over the fact that after the engine started it seemed like you could still here that starter running for miles down the road lol. It has always made me feel like something just isn't right here. My first my last! My brother went test drive a dodge truck before he bought his Ford. He said the truck was real comfortable until he started driving it.He said it felt like you could feel every bump ,like you were in a tin can.I guess the salesman was practically trying to give him the truck. He said the price was good but there was no way he was buying that piece of crap. In my opinion the only thing they have ever done right is the Hemi. Only my opinion.

From what I've read they haven't been able to crack the codes on the 2011+ Ram ECUs. However you can replace it with a 2010 ECU and tune it. Keep in mind.... I read it on the internet so it may or may not be true.

My buddy has a 2011 ram and it's tuned. Out of all places the ram dealer installed the tuner and set it up.

I don't remember. He said its a custom tune. The tuner has a LCD display mounted on the dash. Bully dog sounds familiar, I think that's what it is.

Id love to get an ecodiesel, but my biggest problem with them is that they can only tow 9,000lbs in the stripped out tradesman form, and more like 7,000 for the average trim package truck.
Thats just not enough when compared to the ecoboost with its 11,500 tow rating.
if I didn't need a truck for towing and just wanted it to look cool or haul bikes and surfboards, I'd be getting a new chevy colorado with the baby duramax in it. that thing is the new tacoma killer.

Up the ecodiesel's tow rating, and you have a winner of a truck.

until then, Im would stick with the colorado for a small truck, an ecoboost f150 for a mid-size, or a full size diesel for heavy towing. simple as that.
