Default 2013 Remote Start

I just got a 2013 F-150 4x2 Supercrew. The ford accessories online site says the 100 series plug and play remote start will work for 2013 year models. My dealership says it will not. I have power door locks. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.

What was the reason for it not working? I have a 2013 and my understanding is it will work on my truck.

My dealership parts department did not give me any information other than Ford said this model would not work on my truck and they would get back with me on one that would because I wanted the single remote that would start the truck and lock/unlock the doors. I may contact another dealer and see what they say.

I find it very hard to believe Ford would engineer something like the plug-and-play remote start system for 2 years (2011 and 2012). If your dealership is like mine, they don't know squat about the accessories.

Maybe give Tasca a call and ask them. Plus the price will be better but you'll still have to get it programmed.

I have the 100 series on my 2012 and it works just fine. The range is a little shorter than I'd like but since there's no windshield mounted antenna, that's to be expected.

Buy it put it in yourself then bring it to another dealer to do the IDS programming. Here is the instructions for the dealer as most still say they don't know how to do it. If yo need info to install let me know.

Caperj is correct - I bought mine from ford (has separate fob & winshield antenna mount) told them I was going to install it. They looked at me & said yeah right - showed them instructions & they were blown away that it only took me 25 mins. Still had to get dash flashed from them ( thats when they hit me good). works good & distance is also pretty good.

There you go, you pust the two sides of the glove box to lower it and it goes just above the glove box.
