I really liked that video. It's hard for me to swallow now though that a ram is now the best luxury truck out of the big 3. I love to see them stepping up there game and improving there trucks. I think that new ram is an awesome truck and yes that hemi sounds really good. I never had a problem with there engines, it's the 8 speed transmission I'm really curious about. And idk if it will do a lot of shifting because I'm pretty sure the last 2 gears are pretty much over drives. But I like to see how everyone else is trying to improve fuel economy differently. It'll be interesting to see how the mileage is and if it can beat the ecoboost. Still the ecoboost has the low end torque for towing. Still think ford has a slight edge on the ram but its not much anymore.

But at the same time that Pentastar V6 has 10 less hp than what has been a big competitor forever (5.3 Vortec GM) and an 8speed tranny should make up for that difference, if it can handle the load, not sure of that.. So it should be able to town what the other competitors have been right? And what's up with that video?! How many rams were there? 3? I thought the hemi wasn't getting an 8speed for quite a while. And if you notice, the truck with the heme, we never saw the shifter. The **** or the center console one(6speed). And to my knowledge 2012 ram just got a revised 5 to now 6tranny so I doubt the '13 hemi on the video was running the all new 8 speed. I CALL BS!!

Yeah I think its towing capacity is still around 10,000 pounds. Which for most ppl is plenty. I know the ecoboost can pull 11,300 but i garuntee it wouldnt like it. And yea the 25 mpg is with the pentastar v6 but im curious how much the 8 speed will help the v8.

I saw this a couple days ago. Haha it's funny to read the chevy guys commenting on there. Apparently they think that there was no 0-60 time for the silverado because it was so much faster than the ford and ram

Gm's better hit a homerun with their next truck. They are really far behind in the truck race. And the fact they still sell as many as they do just shows what brand loyalty does for ya. Is the Tundra ever going to change?

The tundra was new for LATE 2007. The normal Toyota life cycle will put the next change in 2014, right with the GM. The Ford was new for 2009, that is why it seems like the Tundra is now dated. It is funny how impatient we have become. Trucks used to have 10-12 year model cycles, now we expect one every 3-4 years, lol.
