Default 2013 radio

I am looking to upgrade to a 2013, but wondering what others think about the new radio/display... Haven't seen it in person, only in pictures in the 'net, but looks a little out of place... Maybe the display is too all... What have you all found so far?

Most upgrade to a double din radio. I dont have a problem with the stock setup and will be keeping the stock unit when i upgrade audio in the next week or 2 via PAC adaptor.

I've had it for about three weeks and I love it. The menus are much easier to nevigate and make changes. Most people mistake it for a nav system.

The only thing that I do not like is the look of the buttons on the angle but thats just personal opinion.

I like the setup and ease of navigating it. It almost adds sophistication to the truck...

If you're talking about MFT, it's not too bad. I like having the information there, and the larger backup camera. It's not perfect yet though. They still have some work to do, I get some freezes every now and again. It's still better than my Pioneer NAV in my DD.

Sound quality is pretty good. We had a Bose system in the Infiniti we traded, I prefer this over that system. It has it's limitations, but if you aren't a kid or a complete Audiophile, it's nice.

How about USB2 access, is that still available through the back of the radio (I see that no upper display exists).

So is it possible to add MFT to an XLT that didn't originally have it... Or is the integration too steep...

I'm not sure. MFT has HVAC controls integrated. But it may be something you could leave out.

If you were going to spend the time and money to do it, I'd just buy an aftermarket head unit and a PAC adapter.
