What's up guys. I'm new to the site and wanted to know if anyone has run or is running Solo exhaust on their 5.0

My dad has one on his 2012 5.0 and I'm running one on my 2011 EB.

How do you like it? Any noticeable power gain? How does your dads sound?

Oh and do you know if you can get them with single tips on each side? All I've seen have double tips behind each rear tire.

I had the dual exit catback on my 2012 5.0. Had a drone that drove me bonkers. Tried everything I could to get rid of it. 1k dollars later, I removed it and put the stock exhaust back on.

I don't mean to sound dumb but what does drone mean?

Drone is an acoustical resonance that occurs on some exhaust system. It will give you a headache and you can't even hear yourself think.

Well that doesn't sound pleasant. I'm looking for a nice deep sound. In a perfect world I could make it sound like a hemi ram. I've always loved how they sound.

Dads is the 4" single but we used a Mach 46 muffler instead of the mr400.

Aggressive sounding but doesn't blow you out if the truck.

On a scale of 1-10, the mr400 is about a 9.5 in loudness while the Mach 46 is more like a 5.5 or 6 in loudness.

I had the single exit MR400s on for a month as well and put my OEM system back on after a road trip. It is LOUD, and the drone at 70+ mph was unbearable, giving me a headache and hurting my ears. I j-type is supposed to help eliminate drone, but mine droned like crazy. I ended up getting a resonator delete pipe for my stock exhaust and I think it is the perfect compromise! Adds some volume and a little bit of raspiness at WOT with absolutely no drone anywhere in the rpm band.
