I promise it is not the speakers, I replaced the ones in my 2011 TWISE, thinking it was. Each time the crackling returned about 3-4 months later, or sometimes within a month.

Sometimes just taking the OEM speaker out, involves stretching the wiring, which in theory kind of re sets the contact points if slightly on the wiring loom. I'm telling you, it's a poor seal at the upper part of the window/ run channel.

Well, the wife and I, as well as the newborn, have been sick off and on, so I just spoke to my dealer's service dept the other day. I mentioned the speaker issue with my list of other small items, and he said they've been dealing with the issue on others for a while. Said whenever I can get it there, he should be able to have it fixed in no time. Now I just gotta find a day off that no surprises happen and can actually make the drive.

Be sure to keep us posted, yanki01 and guitjon. If you need my assistance following an appointment, just send me a PM with your details and I'll see what I can do to help. I'll need your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership.

Update, I'm still waiting on the part to come in to the dealers ship I will call them in about a week or so from now if they haven't called by then. I first took it in on Jan 27th. Just keeping you in the loop.

It's not just the F-150's, the Wifey's '13 Mustang had the drivers door speaker start buzzing today. Apparently the same crappy speakers. I'll let the dealer replace it this time. If it happens again I'll just buy some good aftermarket speakers, and take it to my trusty guy at the dealer to put them in. He's torn into that car enough that he can fix it blind folded.

Im just worried about it being the factory harness and not the speaker since mine only does it on occasion.

Mine was only occasional as well but it did gradually get worse before the speaker was replaced. Of all things it always buzzed when the phone would ring.

Tweetz77, I understand completely. Got into the Mustang today, and of course the speaker was working properly. Go figure......
