I'd personally do the outline black (to copy the HD look) and keep everything else chrome.
It's all personal preference, I currently have the HD lights with HIDs that work fine and don't blind ppl so I wouldn't spend the $$ to keep the same look, I would do the all black to fit the theme of my truck with matching retrofitted fogs to compliment and lose the chrome all together, since my heads/fogs are the only bit of it now...
The eBay lights have a projector and reflector with those angel eyes and LEDs that I could do without, def looks too ricey for me. The retrofit makes a huge difference and if done right would look blacked out without sacrificing light output by means of tint/covers/cheap eBay assemblies to achieve a blacked out look.
Not trying to get off topic there, back to my original question posted in this thread, does anyone know if the 2013 towing mirrors would be compatible on my 2009 FX4?

Id be interested in that also, I have a 26ft Chaparral Signature cabin cruiser that I tow and that option would come in handy better than the HID lights even though I alsi want HID's on my truck.
