03Heritage,

Thanks for the great info, I will be sure to look into those pieces and adhere to your advice. $2000 for a power window is absurd. I got emailed today by Ford customer service saying they won't help. It's just great to know after spending hard earned money on their defective products. It's a shame. I do love the truck otherwise, I think that's why it's such a sour subject.

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

Glad to possibly assist. Figured Ford wouldn't offer any assistance at all. Once they've got your hard earned money and your vehicles slightly out of warranty, you're pretty much on your own so you'd better be prepared to open your wallet extra wide to pay for costly repairs. Sadly, like most other big corporations today, Ford isn't out to make friends nor could care less about their customers and only looks to make huge profits. Seeing you'd already found the problem, you should be able to fix it yourself. Splicing some wires together isn't difficult if you can find the correct replacement connectors. Again, check out fordparts.com. The website also has the recommended Ford procedure that explains how to properly splice a pigtail onto an existing wiring harness. Do some research online for either brand new Ford pigtails or used Ford connectors from an auto salvage yard. Pretty sure you'll be able to locate them somewhere if you look hard enough. Even if it takes a while, it'll be worth the time and time well spent if it saves you well over a grand. Good luck.

If the truck has never been altered, i.e. A wreck or flood, there should be no time limit on an issue like this! What if you were driving down the street and it shorted the ignition?

A liability attorney would love that case!

A quick search on Ebay for "main interior wiring harness" will turn up a few used harnesses that could be used as a donor.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-11-Ford...tV1Mt6&vxp=mtr

1. Just cut the connector off of the donor harness leaving yourself 8"-10" of wire for splicing, disassemble the connector removing all wires (you will then know how to disassemble the one on the vehicle).

2. Carefully remove the connector from the door jam, disassemble the connector and move the undamaged wires - one at a time - to the donor connector. Once you get to the damage ones simply re-install those wires (removed earlier) and then proceed with cutting and splicing those wires.

This will be much easier than replacing the WHOLE harness. Which requires removing most of the interior.

If you need any wiring diagram info let me know and I can send them to you.

I am looking for the make and female pins for a completely different reason but the OP found my thread over on f150ecoboost.net and posted there as well.

http://www.f150ecoboost.net/forum/19...lacements.html

The same information that 03 Heritage Edition spoke of was also linked by winchested in my thread. If you click on the "Wiring Pigtail Kit ID Guide" just above "Wire Sets" it will take you to a mutipage .pdf file. Just go here and it will take you to the .pdf file:

https://www.fordparts.com/FileUpload...ook%202016.pdf

On page 7 the third paragraph is of interest as it talks about Ford PTS (professional technician Society) which you can only access if you are a dealer or an independent repair shop sponsored by a dealer. IF you have access to this then on 2013 and up vehicles you can access the wiring diagrams and then click on a connector number (this would be like CXXX). From there it will take you to the Connector Face View page where there is a box that says "Check for Terminal Part Numbers". You click on that and it takes you to the Ford Engineering Part number of each terminal in the connector.

Does anyone here have access to the Ford PTS site? If so I would like the information on the connector on the door as well as the one on the body which would also help the OP.

Try to go to a Pick and Pull. You should be able to find a bunch of f150s there. I'm sure they would have that harnesses intact for the most part. I don't see that particular plug as a high use item.

Are the wires themselves corroded and/or broken too, or just inside the connector?

I've had great luck finding the male and female pins on mouser.com. You can generally buy only the quantity that you need. That would allow you to only replace the pins that are corroded and broken on each connector, without cutting and splicing all of the wires. A good coating of dialectic grease after that should help prevent future corrosion.

I'd personally be worried about cutting and splicing the wires, as those are all possible failure points in the future (unless you plan on getting rid of the truck in the next few years). Taking the extra time to remove the damaged pins and replace with new would make it equivalent to putting in a new harness.

For the smaller/thinner pins (top side of connector), the male side is 1438299-4, and the female side is 1719958-1. I purchased mine at mouser.com and was able to get 10 male and 20 female pins for about $10.

Another member on Ecoboost posted up those same numbers part numbers for the small pins but we need the larger ones and without knowing how to identify and figure out part numbers we need it would be a crap shoot ordering on Mouser. This is why I was hoping there was someone on here with access to the Ford PTS site.
