2013 f 150 gas milage

If it's the 3.7L, it will improve a bit. My previous F-150 SCREW w/ the 3.&L did improve some after it passed the 5000 mile mark. It setteled in at between 16 - 15.5 mpg's in the city when driven like a little old lady going to church. It never reached the 23 mpg Hwy stated. It would usually avg. between the 20 - 21.5 mpg Hwy. It was a tough little engine, and would move the truck right along. But, that came at a premium hit in mpg's.
As stated I think Ford overshot the mark on this engine when it is placed in the larger SCREW's. My '13 Platinum at only 1800 miles is already doing damn close to what the 3.7 was doing in the XLT.

People need to relax you can't buy a brand new truck and expect 28 mpg out of the gate the engine needs to be broken in, my 5.0L took til about 6000 km before i got really good mileage. its also in how you drive it... you cant expect good mileage with your foot to the floor mat not saying all people drive this way but working at a dealership i have noticed that the ecoboost owners who are upset about not getting the advertised mileage also have over speed codes on the PCM...
