Hey guys,

I have an SCT tuner that I got from here with a trade but the strategy code isn't the same as my truck. What can I do with the tuner without having the same strategy code? Can I at least make the adjustment for my bigger tires so the spedo is calibrated?

Depends on which tuner you got and if its vin married or not. Does it say preloaded flash device on front of the tuner? And if you power it up, go to device info, scroll to bottom, does it say device unmarried specifically there? And can't use somebody else's custom tunes which are pcm specific which is why it's giving you an error.

The packaging is SCT 5 star and I'll check tomorrow but I'm pretty sure it's unmarried.

Update it via you laptop and USB it will get all the new strategy codes that are out. Latest update did all and gave room for 10 custom tunes.

If its a sf3 3015 model yes. If its a x3 3000 then will just update to hold ten custom tunes. But either way, caperj is right, you want to update it to latest firmware once you verify it's unmarried. Www.sctflash.com and go to tech tab, should be instructions and link to download the SCT updater program there

If I use the tuner to only change the tire size will that only adjust the speedometer? Or will it make any other changes to the timing etc?
