Default High Beams not working.....

I have a 2011 FX4. When flick the switch for the high beams, they're not working. Low beams and fogs run fine.

I checked the fuse for the high beams and it's good. The book does not show a relay for the headlights. I doubt that the high element of both bulbs blew at the same time.

I've got 33k miles so debating on whether to take it in to the dealer just in case it's the main multifunction switch.

Has anyone else had or heard of this problem.

Thanks,
Cam

My guess is the multifunction switch.

Does the high beam indicator come on on the dash when engaged?

I'm going to replace one of the bulbs this weekend just in case and see if that works. If not, I'll take it in next week. I'll check the indicator on the dash, I haven't made note of that. I'll post the fix when I get it done.

It was the bulbs. I'm glad it wasn't the switch. It just seems weird that both burned out at the same time. Oh well.

Hello ctcam82; I also have a 2011 Ford F-150 but it is a FX2. About 2 months ago the same thing happened to my High Beams. I’ve changed the signal switch, the dash switch, both head lights and fuse / relay. Still when I turned the high beams on I get nothing. Did you ever find out what was causing your problem. The blue high beam indicator comes on then goes off. Even though I bought new switches does not mean they were good. If you want you can email me at so182@aol.com. Thanks Russ

Read the Post above yours, the fix for him was the bulbs.
