Default 2013 Crew Cab Ecoboost eats up front brakes

My oem set lasted 28,000 miles and this set I went with EBC ones thinking they may last longer but it doesn't look like and these are looking like they'll last 28,000 miles too. I just put these on in May and have 12,000 miles on them but the slotted parts are almost gone. Is this normal for these trucks?

my 13 is the same. 25k and just about ready to replace. My 11 Eco had no brake problems at 40k.

Ok and I was thinking ok OEM ones aren't any good but was shocked to notice the slots on the rotors almost gone. The back ones still look good and I did notice last year doing donuts in the snow that the rear brakes were a bit under powered since I was pushed around, stopped on a curb and the rear tires were still spinning.

It could be because of your bigger tires and wheels

Yeah, stupid 7 miles of red lights to work.

I don't think that made much of a difference cause I had the stock wheels and tires on for 14,000 miles for the 1st set.

My 11 only made it to 23000 on the front set. Granted I tow a good bit in the summer. I still feel they should last longer though.

My 11 has 54k on the original front and rear brakes. I checked them at the last tire rotation and I figure they will be good to at least 65-70k.

I will do rotors and pads all around at that time.

The rotors are pretty warped now and have that crappy shake when coming to a stop.

I warped my front rotors at 8000 miles with 24's on the truck. Put Powerstop slotted and drilled with performance pads, now at 30K and still have 90% pad life left. And the SOB stops on a dime.
