I was going to say, I have seen plenty of guys accomplish that kind of look in their own garages or backyards for much less right here on this board. And they have the satisfaction of having done it themselves.

But...

Does some of that sticker price go back to help wounded soldiers? That does make it more worthwhile, although I am a suspicious person and would like to know just what percentage goes to the soldiers...

WOULD. Don't care if it seems childish. I loved my G.I. Joes to death as a kid!

From what I understand anyone can send their truck to tuscany and have some or all of these things done. Ford may have had a contract for XXX to be made but I have heard of dealerships sending XLTs off to tuscany and have this kit or others put on. Then they get them back and price them for a cool $67,000. Pretty sure you can get an XLT add rims, tires, a 6" lift, change the hood and add a bull bar for well under $40,000 and it would be all your decision as to what brands and styles were used. Don Bohn ford has one with an MSRP of $81,000 this is an F150. http://iphone.bohnford.com/index.htm...4749e9_p_2Ehtm
Don't be dumb by paying a dealers marked up price, on a custom shops marked up price, on parts that you can buy from amazon just above wholesale.
You probably wouldn't do bad buying it used because then your paying for what a stock truck would go for with those same parts installed by the private owner. Hence the massive depreciation

Dealers make a killing on the vehicles they throw a lift on. I've seen trucks new on the lot that they added rims tires and a lift to and the price went up by like $15,000. Used dealerships do the same thing with their used lifted trucks that I've seen. They pretend a lift, rims, and tires adds thousands to the price so they price them substantially over kbb value.

The only good thing I have heard about buying a truck such as one of these is that the dealer covers the add parts under warranty. Me personally, I wouldn't buy any of them.

Right... they take a $35000 truck that they paid $25000 for then they send it to Tuscany to have it customized with whatever package (black ops in this case) for $17000 (our price if we sent it to them, they most likely get a major discount) and they price it for $71000... but just for you they'll mark it down to $63000... because they like you! Which means they charged you an @$$ load to ship the truck to tuscany and back and then scalped you on THEIR (tuscany) work. The same goes for the one on the link I posted above except they used a lariat w/ a 6.2liter instead of an XLT so its on a wopping $81000

You can buy a regular truck and tell them you want XX lift XX rims & XX tires. They will install in house before you take delivery of the truck and its covered under warranty. Are you going to pay dealer labor cost? YES... but your $50000 truck that you talk them down to $39000 on will still only run you $48000... NOT $63000!!!

Btw... the only thing I would take off of that truck to put on mine would be the black ford grill and tailgate ovals... anyone know where I can find those... don't want to mess mine up pulling them off to paint them... and I don't want to put a sticker on them... I'd like to order them painted. Maybe I'll ship my truck off to tuscany to have them installed, they should only charge me a few thousand to have that done right???
