Default 2012 spyder taillight install question..?

I was installing the tail lights and the back up light plug in has a rubber seal on it, when i try to put it into the hole I can't get it to twist all the way on with the seal on it. Do I need to take it off to install it? When I take it off it spins right on. I push really hard but I am afraid of breaking it if I push to hard.??? Anyone install these?

I installed my tails today and used pliers to twist it in, wasn't budging so I needed pliers.

Ok guys, funny. I was just looking at these taillights online and came here to research. I bring up the forum and the first thread is this one. How do you like the lights? Do you have pics of them on your truck. Thanks in advance for any help.

They look really sharp, super bright! It's dark so I can't get a good picture, but I will post some tomorrow! I am going to order the third brake light to match next! I have a 2012 FX4 so I got the smoked tail lights.

Thanks, I look forward to seeing the pics. Where did you buy them?

Funny story, my buddy called me up and told me to swing by his work, when I showed up he showed them to me, he accidentally ordered these for his f350 and order the wrong set. He asked if I wanted them instead of having to return them. I had been looking at these for some time so it worked out great! He said he bought them off amazon. $267

^Thanks. So far I have found them through Carid for $230 shipped. Best price I have seen. When you get a chance I would still like to see some picks. Thanks
