Default 2012 FX4 pulling our new 5th wheel camper

Just recently purchased my 2012 FX4 screw EB 157"WB less than 2 months ago and this past week we picked up a new 5th wheel camper (2013 Palomino Puma 295KBH). We drove 500+ miles to pick up the new camper so the truck was put thru a good test on how it would tow the new camper all the way back home. The truck performed great, the EB engine can't say enough good things about it for towing, pulled it with no troubles, I am not going to say that it feels like its towing nothing behind the truck, but it never not once felt short of pulling power. I have a set of supersprings on the truck and they helped keep the truck nice and level when we attached the 5th wheel king pin to our hitch (Reese R16 with slider), truck doesnt sag low at all. Anyway we went on our 1st camping trip this past weekend as well with the new trailer and we loved it. Here are some pics of the truck with the new trailer.

Very Nice! What is the total weight of the Puma?

I was looking at getting a 5'er Toy Hauler but I don't think I can do it with my 11 5.0, so now I am looking into pulling a small trailer with the bikes behind a normal 5'er.

Total weight of the new camper ready to go camping is 9300-9400lbs. King pin weight attaching to the 5th wheel hitch is right around 1125lbs give or take a couple of pounds....hope this info helps

I really really like the layout, it's very nice and love the outside kitchen

But, it's just impossible your pin weights only1125lbs if the trailer is 9300lbs. No trailer manufacturer would do that for stability/security reasons.

Not that I care but the scale will say 1600lbs or above.

Happy camping

Really nice fifth. I use the supersprings also and rave about them.
Enjoy the camping!
