Picked her up last month and lost her this month
I had to drop off my wife's Edge to get some warranty work done and she asked to take my truck because she is a home health nurse and she likes the voice activated navigation. She was on her way home, about 2 miles from the house, when a car slammed on their brakes then the car in front of her slammed on their brakes and then my wife slammed on her brakes and didnt stop in time. She was doing about 40mph when she hit and the air bag blew. She is OK just a little sore. When she called me to tell me she was more worried about crashing my new truck then she was about herself. Of course I was a little upset, but I told her that a truck is replaceable and she isnt.

Ouch man that sucks! Bummer about the truck but youre right, they make those everyday and it did what it was designed to do, protect its precious cargo. Hope insurance takes good care of you.

Glad to hear she is ok, hope everyone else is as well. What did she hit? Looks like the front end damage was kind of high - good thing she was in a truck. A lower vehicle may have yielded a different result.

Have to wait and see what insurance is going to do with it.
When I picked up my wifes car I stopped in and talked with my salesman and I already have him trying to find the same exact truck. I prob wont find out till next week to see it they will fix it or total it. Insurance said with it being a 13 it is going to take a whole hell of a lot to total, but just in case I have the dealer looking for another one.
She hit the back of a toyota Sequoia with a trailer hitch on it.

wow, that's alot of damage. I'm no expert but I can't see how that wouldn't be written off regardless that it's a 2013. There must be frame damage for sure. I've had previous cars repaired after being hit and they were never ever the same again.
