I test drove a Denali before getting my F150 Lariat and I admit their seats were more cushioned, but I don't find the F150 seats to be bad once you get them adjusted properly. I love the cooled seats in the summer here in Texas.

My 2011 FX2 has leather seats as well. They were AWFUL when I first got the truck but they've since softened up and are very comfortable now.

Give it a little time.

Two words: King Ranch.

It does not get any more comfy than that.

Last week I spent 33 hours (per trip A meter) driving to and from a funeral, no complaints about the the seats, left them the way they were when I picked it up from the dealer 2500 miles ago.
6'3" 180 lbs. had a 2004 FX4 previously and do not notice a difference.

Have to admit I wasn't impressed with the Ford buckets at first. Drove to Daytona from Canada with my buddy's Ford last October.Having been a GM man for 30 years, hated the buckets for the first hour. Once I finally had the supports and seating position to my liking, I found them very comfortable . Just ordered a 2012 Platinum.

To the OP, I have the exact same complaint. After 5 minutes of sitting in my seat my back starts to ache. Feels like the seat only supports my upper back. I can't find a comfortable position for the life of me after adjusting everything.

I have cloth buckets in my 09 stx. I dont know if they are similar or not, but I love them. I am 6'6", and finding a comfortable car seat is a PITA sometimes. The only thing I dislike about them is the way the head rest point so far forward.

I currently drive a Denali and have always thought the Denali seats were great.

Frankly, I was so disappointed that I walked away from the deal. For me, the wife's 02 Sport Trac has better seats. I love everything about the truck except the seats. Maybe I could grow to accept them. But I ain't willing to spend 40 large to find out.

Anyone with a similar experience?

What model Truck?

Tilt the seat back up straighter and push yourself back into the "butt pocket." The effect will be to minimize the lumbar support so that your hole back can rest against the seat.

I have a 2012 Screw with cloth, I don't know if the seat foam they use on the leather is the same or not, but to me it seems too firm. I don't have any issues with the seat back, it's the seat bottom, there is a very pronounced ridge that runs on each side of where you sit and after a short time it feels like you are sitting on something that doesn't belong there and you end up fidgiting and adjusting your a** on the seat. I have 17,xxx miles and it has gotten a little better, but still not what you'd expect out of a new truck at all.
