2012 bucket seats are VERY uncomfortable for me
So I ordered a 2012 F150 with leather bucket seats. Dealer called saying the truck was in and I went, all excited, to pick it up. On the test drive, I found the seats to be VERY uncomfortable for me. Where the seat hits my upper back, it seems to push me forward with my lower back largely unsupported. I did adjust the lumbar, which only helped a little. Maybe I'm too tall or too fat. I currently drive a Denali and have always thought the Denali seats were great.
Frankly, I was so disappointed that I walked away from the deal. For me, the wife's 02 Sport Trac has better seats. I love everything about the truck except the seats. Maybe I could grow to accept them. But I ain't willing to spend 40 large to find out.
Anyone with a similar experience?

I have a 12 Lariat, with leather buckets, I have to admit the seat are very firm, comfortable but firm. It did take some adjusting to find the most comfortable position for me, but I am happy with them.

You didn't test drive one before you ordered? I don't think I would order a truck without sitting in one at least similar to what I'm getting prior to having one ordered.
This is my first Ford after owning numerous GM trucks during my adult life including a Denali XL. I found the leather buckets in my Lariat to be as nice or nicer than any of my previous trucks.

I have sat in and drove 2012 F-150s with the leather seats as well as the cloth seats. They do not differ from the 2010 seats BUT the leather seats ( while not the best in my opinion) are by far more comfortable than the cloth seats! Could be the leather has more padding underneath them? I put 109,000 miles on a 2003 F-150 and never gave the seats a thought they were that comfortable.

I am a svelte 6'3" 234 ish lbs
mine are pretty darn comfy, the lumbar imo needs some tweaking but over all they are very good
the cooled option is hands down fantastic.
my 06 350 seats were imo pretty darn good to compared to other vehicles we owned, sans the edge.

I had my 06 FX4 with leather seats for five years and found the seats comfortable at first but I had to replace my bottom seat cushion foam after three years and the seat just seemed off after that. My 2012 has cloth seats and I played with the adjustments on the drivers seat for a couple of days until I got it where it worked for me but I have to say it is more comfortable then the 06 and has a lot more support.

I don't have leather but traded in an 08 xlt on a 2010 xlt. 10 is way nicer. Better seat design which I'd guess is close to or the same as an 11-12 F150. I had a hard time getting used to them from the get go, since the XLT doesn't have the telescoping wheel. But since have found the right setting on everything. Best seats for me are our 03 Accord.
