Default 2012 park signal or wire location??

Hi
I have a 2012 f150 3.5eco and have started a whelen core build on the truck. I was looking to see if any one else has found
a suitable negitve or positive signal on their tuck for park. Basically any signal that comes on when the truck is in park or comes on when out of park.
the only wireing diagram i have found is for the bcm and as far as i can see there is no park signal wires there.

thanks for any help

nick

I’m gonna put a second part to this of a neutral safety wire or switch location on f150 with Colume shift.
thanks!

Have no idea what a "whelen core build" might be or what requirements it may have.

No "neutral" switch is used. There isn't one so you won't find it. No signal wires for individual shift lever position.

Shift lever position is detected by the TR sensor in the transmission. The sensor sends an AC signal to the PCM whose duty cycle is dependent on the detected position. From there on, it's a digital value internal to the system.

Thanks for that!

basicly the whelen core is a warning light control system that uses vehicle signals to control patterns and lighting options with out much input from the operator. Newer f150s all the signals can be gathered threw obd2 ports or other cars off of the canbus network.
09-14 arnt covered by the obd2 so any signals you want must be physical taped.

I actually found a useable true positive and negative signal from the shift interlock after some hard searching.
again thanks for the info!

Can you share where those signals are, getting ready to do a similar build and would like that info too. Thank you!

First off chock your wheels as I had to move my shifter to get the steering column covers off, I believe it’s under the wheel you will see the little shift lock solenoid little white circle , I want to say it’s a brown and yellow but don’t quote me, I had to test it with the key on and just did a simple solder tap as it’s small gauge wire.
