The way I see it, you were in agreement/contract to have them installed by a set date. It's understandable that things come up, but when you are dependant on needing your truck back by a set date, IMO that's more important. Customer service sucks anymore.

Yeah it's extremely frustrating! I've never dealt with someone so rude and heartless. He has zero sympathy for his customer who paid him $1,100. Absolutely unbelievable.

Exactly. I made it very clear that I needed it done that weekend so I could tow a trailer to NC in a few weeks.

This..... get your whole 1100 back and wash your hands of the whole thing. I don't know why your even considering paying anything considering he broke the deal

Another vote for CC dispute. Shut this joker down without having to wait on him. This is a time when the CC companies actually work to your benefit. They're on your side here, and it's important to use a CC rather than pay cash for some transactions for protection purposes. Actual credit cards (vs debit cards) are better for your protection, especially AMEX.

The only caveat is that a CC dispute might show up on your credit report. I disputed a charge way back in the day, then bought a house 5-6 years later and the bank asked me about the dispute. It wasn't a big deal, but it's good to know about in advance.

Wow thanks for the advice!! I called my CC company and it looks like they're going to pull through. She was like, "oh yeah, I have a pretty high success rate at getting money back from these types of people, and if I don't, I'll send it over to disputes and they'll get it for sure." We're scheduled for a 2:15 3-way call this afternoon with Rodney at one stop. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

If it makes you feel any better, when you move to NC, east coast gear supply is in Raleigh area, and they are one of the pre-eminent driveline and gearing companies on the east coast. They are highly recommended and have a great reputation. So just tow on out to Fayetteville and call them when you are settled.

That does make me feel better....I was wondering where to go once I got out there but now I know. Thank you!
