Test the 12v socket itself. You do know that a lot of adapters that plug into the 12v sockets have fuses in them also right?

My 3.7L still has a weird one. The engine will die away from time to time (albeit rarely) when I make a turn. It never stops completely. I thought I had the problem solved with some loose fuses, but alas no.
