Tomofva, don't rely on the MPG gauge on your truck. It is just a rough guideline. I have run 10 full tanks of gas while keeping track of the mileage, and the dash display was of by 2.8 mpg. I was actually getting 15 mpg on the highway when the display was reading 17.8

I get the 6th gear slip/miss when under boost. It feels like the torque converter is slipping. Mine has gotten progressively worse with time/miles, but I haven't taken it in because I don't think Ford has a fix for it yet.

I'm in the same boat, 6th gear shudder with my 6.2. When experimenting I can get it to shudder as low as 4th gear. Under normal driving my problem is exactly the same as the others described. Build Date 2/11

dumb question...but did ALL the voters experience this problem? Because it looks like there isn't really a build date range nailed down yet.

Not sure we are going to nail down a date range although it would be nice. If we cannot nail it down then it is a MAJOR issue for Ford...

Sept 2011 build date, but doesn't shudder under low-end throttle any more than any other vehicle I've had. Asking an engine to work hard at barely over idle speed will make most of them balk a little.

Same here, late Sept build. Never have noticed the issue o gentle inclines so I looked for a lon steep section. Took a hill in 6th at 60 mph and as speed dropped to 50 and rpm to 1000k I felt something. It was not alarming an I would not have attempted that incline locked in 6th except for the test; it was 4th gear hill.

I'm so glad these forums exist. I've been noticing this on my 2011 ecoboost FX4 for the past couple months. I've had so much transmission work done already (pump/seal, and clutches/bands for the 2-1 downshift shudder) I wasn't sure if it was engine misfires or trans slipping under a load in lockup. Given it's happening on so many engines I'm guessing this is yet another transmission issue. I'm sorry others are also having this issue, but I'm glad to find out more information and looking forward to a fix for this.

I'll be bringing my truck in to the dealer next week for this, and for a 3-1 downshift surge. Basically when stopping when the trans shifts from 3-1 it feels like someone rear ended me going about 5mph. It's impossible to stop smoothly and is much worse now that it's cold out. (below 40F)

I have to say that I was a little worried about buying the first year of the ecoboost (which I've had no issues with), yet I never gave a second thought to the transmission. Yet in 5,000 miles, the transmission has given me nothing but problem after problem after problem.

Hey guys! Come back to this. I have two screws in the company. (1) 2011 F150 XLT Screw EB, 145" WB, 3.73, max tow/payload, select shift and the (2) 2011 F150 FX4 Screw EB, 157" WB, 3.73, max tow/payload, select shift.

The 145" doesn't have the shudder problem at all. Low throttle it doesn't do it. 3/4 throttle nothing. Not noticed at any speed.

The 157" has all the symptoms that everyone is talking about. I took it into the dealer and they said it is so faint that it doesn't register on the diagnostic even though the shop foreman agrees that he can feel it and see what happens. They were supposed to be speaking to the engineers and getting back to me. No word yet and that was 3 weeks ago.

We need everyone with this problem to get on board and tell them to fix this or its going public. Can you imagine the field day that those with Yotas and Chevs would have? I love my truck but this has got to end. We need a fix.
