Default 2011 Shuddering Poll

In an effort to see what date ranges our trucks are experiencing this shuddering issue, I have composed this poll to hopefully help Ford find a resolve if they are indeed watching this forum. This poll is about the shuddering experience when in 6th gear. This does not pertain to the 1-2 gear sguddering issues.

If your truck date is prior to December 2010 please choose the December 2010 selection.

Comments would be best in this thread.

12/10. Mine is between 1st & 2nd (15-20 mph). Going in Dec. to have it checked. Been doing it since Aug. and is no better or worse as of now. Also since new a vibration around 76 mph and more pronounced at 80 mph that fades out by 85 mph. 1st time was balance and rotate, 2nd time was load balance and rotate and has not changed the vibration. Stock 20" Pirellis at 16.6K.

Please keep this poll going. I am determined to get this resolved for all of us. I WILL get the media involved and put pressure on Ford to get this resolved.

· There should be a clear description of the issue to provoke an absolute yes or no, so that other concerns do not pollute your poll answers. I know there is a link but more clarity couldn't hurt. I see some say 1st & 2nd and other say 6th. Is this a miss or a trans issue?
· Is this poll for all engines axels, wheel-bases and drives types?
· There should also be a selection for those owners with NO issue so that you can see the percentage of affected trucks to good trucks.
· Is the fuel efficiency and power normal with these truck that shudder?

I would like to see the results but I don't want to click (select a build date) and mislead that my truck also has this problem.

---I just saw how to see the results with out voting. Sorry

Unhappy

My March 2010 F150 with 5.0 is going in tomorrow for the shift - shuddering and also a surging problem. Surges while going through drive thru's as if you are holding the brake while tapping the gas pedal every 4 seconds. They have re-programmed the transmission which made the problem happen twice as fast.....it did help with the shudder during gear shifts. I have 35,500 miles on the vehicle, and have told them that it will not be picked up until they find out what is wrong. I have also asked them to replace the cam phazers as they are defective as well.

What is the cam phaser? Does this control the cam timing and why do you think it is part of this problem? I'm assuming this is a trans issue or somthing controlling wheel speed because there are both 3.5 and 5.0 issues here? I'm asking, not correcting

I don't see a November 2010 build on your poll which is what I have.I've noticed the 6th gear low rpm shudder in mine.2011 Screw 5.0/3.73 gear.

Build - March/2011 5.0L XLT Supercrew 145WB w/3.73 LS @ 2800km to date.

Shudders from 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, and 4-3, 3-1 down.
Shudders hard from 2-1 downshifts when never getting out of 2nd.
low rpm miss/slip in 6th when cruising around 1800-2000rpm.
Bump stop/click from rear end when stopping.

Ottawa Dealership will not address the trucks transmission complaints until after 7000km as instructed by Ford of Canada. This is a half years driving for my family.
