2011 revamped 6R80 transmission :Select shift VS. standard
Debating between a XTR(canadian) XTL(US) or FX4 trim 2011 F-150 I am wondering about the "revamped 6R80 transmission".
XTR/XTL does not include a SelectShift Automatic™ capability.
Ford has stated that the 2011 transmission has a new one-way clutch added for smoother 1-2 and 2-1 shifts
My question is does the non selectshift transmission that comes in the XLT(XTR Canadian) have this new "one-way clutch" or is it only transmissions with the selectshift option?
