Remote Start System - RPO Plug-in-Play Kit -Part No: BC3Z-19G364-A$176.00

I'm leaning towards the Series 200 unit that fully integrates into the dash electronics, etc.. However, the RPO unit does have the advantage of the IKT key all in one...and also saving a few $$$

I hope someone in the forum has the series 200 unit installed and can give me some feedback...

Has anyone had any luck with ordering
BT4Z-19G364-A from the Tasca website yet? I haven't been able to find it by searching the part number or drilling down through the accessories list. Only the hood switch comes up.

Also curious if anyone has installation instructions specific to the Bidirectional system since there are few more pieces to install.

I'd rather install myself so hopefully they don't charge me crazy money to turn it on.
Guessing me putting it on wouldn't be covered under warranty?

Does anyone have PDF instructions for the two way install?
Can't find anything on accessories.ford.com.

Here is video on the two way install. Very simple. Even a cave man could do it.

The 100 and 200 series are the only ones with external antenna right?

Tasca might not be worth it since you still need the dealer to "install" it with their computer.

I purchased the regular 1 way with the 2 keys remote starter from a local dealer. They cut the keys right there when I purchased it. I installed it myself in less than a minute, and then drove down to another dealer and had them turn it on. They turned it on for free. must have been the way i worded it.

"Can i get one of your tech's for about a min to enable a remote starter, they just need to hook up the IDS and enable it, its already installed".

with that i saw the work order which said "enable factory installed remote starter".... and he came back like 10 mins later and said here you go, and it was no charge..

Well people must be more friendly up there in Canada.

I'm hoping I can get a similar deal or I'll just have to deal with that $100+ charge for an hour of labor like others are reporting.

The dealers I've talked to on phone seem confused when I tell them it takes 5 minutes to install these systems. Don't think they sell them often!

How is the range your getting on the key one? 300ft as advertised?

Range seems to be closer to about 100 feet on a clear day

Wow I guess lack of external antenna really hurts that model.

That extra money for the 100 series seems more worth it now.
I don't want the stupid separate fob though so I'm sure range is going to suffer but should still be better with that external antenna.

My Ranger I just left the antenna lose up in the headliner and it has probably 500 ft range or something. Never really measured it but it perfect for the work parking lot. Not bad for ebay and couple hours.

HAS ANYONE FOUND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE 100 SERIES MODEL YET?

Does ANYONE have installation info and operating info on the 200 series model..??

I'm a bit concerned about the system shutting off when you open a door..?? I'm used to getting in, turning the key and driving off.... also pulling up, hitting the button and pulling keys out while I pop into the store, etc... without interruption to engine running, etc...

Please..?? anyone have info..??

I couldn't find any information on the 200 series either, I would have dealt with the extra keyfob if I knew for sure I wouldn't have the truck shut off every time I opened the door.

I got the "same as factory" model. Park it near a window so I can see if it starts or not.

I looked behind my glove box, it appears to have an antenna but I didn't looke too closely.
