Here is some information I had contained in an email with the dealership. Hope it helps.

I ended up paying $310.86 + sales tax on the parts. Their original quote was $724 before I complained to customer service. The install did in fact take about 45 mins.

I have previously been in touch with XXXXX regarding an installation of the new for 2011 RPO Plug'n Play Remote Start Kit (Part Number: BC3Z-19G364-A) on my new 2011 Ford F-150. This is the new Ford Remote Start kit that requires plugging in the wiring harness/antenna, cutting/programming the 2 new IKT keys, and hooking up the truck to the IDS to enable the remote start. All the details on the installation are listed in the attached document. Please see F-150 EO kit (pg 195-202) in the document as there are other kits available that I am not interested in. The install should take around 45 minutes total.

The parts and installation price is listed on www.fordaccessories.com.

Check out the following link:

Remote Start System, RPO Plug'n Play Kit
Part Number: BC3Z-19G364-A
Part only: $217.14
Part w/ installation: $288.39

Additionally, my vehicle may require a hood switch, if so, there is an additional part listed at the next link.

Remote Start Hood Switch Kit
Part Number: BC3Z-19G366-A
Part only: $21.87

According to the Ford Accessories site, it looks as though the total price should be $288.39 + $21.87 for parts and labor ($310.26). If this is correct, I would like to schedule a date to get this installed.
Perfect, thank you. I had not seen the new ford accessories site, that will definitely help out.

Does anyone have the exact part number needed for this upgrade? I want the all in one key, no separate fob.

Thanks

$600 is a rip off. You can get the parts needed for around $250 as some of the other members said. I put mine in about 5 months ago. My wife works at the dealer so I got the kit for cost. You can install it yourself in like an hour, it really is plug and play. No wires to cut or splice, everything plugs in on the passenger side behind the airbag. You access everything through the side panel. You will have to get the dealer to turn it on for you with the Ford IDS computer. I watched them do it for my truck, it takes all of 5 minutes. They will bang you for an hours labor, unless they want to do you a favor. The range is awesome, but you do have to use a separate key fob. The good thing is that the new key fob will tell you when the engine is running.

However, you can get another key with the remote start button built in. I have done it myself. All you need is to have it cut and you can program it yourself into the truck. See link for the key I mean, Strattec part #5912561:

The post by ZanexGT says it comes with 2 IKT keys. is it just the same two IKT keys provided with the truck plus a separate fob, or is it the IKT keys with built in remote start?

If I understand correctly there are two plug and play kits for the 2011 F150, someone correct me if I am wrong.

1) BC3Z-19G364-A This kit comes with two new keys that have the remote start button built in. No separate fob's are needed but there is no confirmation that the vehicle has started.

2) BT4Z-19G364-A This kit comes with a separate fob to start the vehicle and also beeps to confirm that the vehicle has started. Apparently has better range and costs $70 more.

So it looks like you have to choose between having to carry and extra fob around or not get the confirmation feature. Not sure if the installation is any different between the two.

Looks like partsguyed.com has the BT4Z-19G364-A unit on sale on their site for $250.80 now.

Hey guys,
So i am with dooger here. I really am confused. On top of the two he listed i see a third:
3) BB5Z-19G364-C-It is the same as the BT4Z-19G364-A but has an alarm. Is this alarm additional to what is in the truck (XLT)? It says it has a "IT-s® 2-stage shock sensor". Is this in the module or something else to wire.

Also on number 2 (BT4Z-19G364-A) it says that a Interface Kit #4.4 (8L3Z-19G365-BA) is included. I assume this is where you put a key to get the transponder to triger. Why does the 3) BB5Z-19G364-C not have this? Does it need to be ordered seperate?

Thanks in advanced!

Oh also,
How much of a PITA is the hood switch?

The hood pin is the easiest thing to do. But Ford factory alarm is a joke. People can break the windows out an slit all the tires an jack the radio without the factory "alarm" going off.

Odds are very, very good that you have the hood switch already - it comes with the "Power Equipment Group," standard on all models except the XL

Alright,
So i probably already have the pin?
As for the alarm, I totally agree the factory one sucks. What i am asking is in the RS it says it has that other 2-stage sensor, is that what is normally in the truck, or is this in addition to the crappy factory alarm?
Also, does anyone know why only one of these kits has a transponder? Do i need to buy that for the 200 kit?
Thanks
