Cracked the new Lexus and it was over $300 - but free to me from Insurance. Also had to replace another car windshield a few years back - and insurance paid for that as well - no deductible on either one.

Also had a rock chip taken care of - they drove to my home - and the insurance paid the whole thing.

Some might have a problem because of buying ver cheap insurance or changing their insurance every time a new cheaper "Deal" come around. I have always been loyal to my insurance and they are loyal to me.

Thanks for the info Dabegs. Glassmasters in Savannah, treated me pretty decent. Got it installed yesterday.

Does anyone know the part numbers for the little plastic grommets that hold down the cowling in fron of the windhield on the corners closest to the A- Pillar? The guy lost or screwed up the one on the driver side.

+1000 internets to you sir! I'll second that. I would say I replace my windshield every two years weather it needs it or not.....but it always does.

I'm not sure how it is in other states, maybe some will pull over for it. Around here if you aren't speeding you have nothing to worry about.
