It depends on your policy. I paid out of pocket.

Some good experiences some not.
It is still not fair of you to make that blanket statement.
A carlite is a carlite no matter who installs it.

Call your insurance company and see if they'll replace it at no cost. You may be surprised.

$700.00 incudes the f150 logo after insurance kicked in final payment a flat $250.00. if this ever happens again i will definitely ask about what type/grade of glass because the replacement windshield doesn't seem as clear and attracts a glare when a little dirty.

how many miles? if its under 12k and there is no impact damage it covered under 12/12 warrenty but only if the crack starts at the edge. proboly cracked due to poor cut.

i learned this from a guy who worked as a service manager for a Ford dealer for 30 years

I have one of the top insurance policies and they picked up the entire cost of replacing my last one.

I called an asked about warranty and they said will only cover it if it's a pressure crack. Not a impact. It sucks cause I would have to bring it to them to decide. And of course they will say impact.

Since the cops around here could care less if the windshield is broken I'm just leaving mine. The crack is all the way across and unless it gets another one that is in my line of vision then its not worth it to me to replace it. They use so much gravel on the roads in the winter that broken windshields are just a fact of life in Alaska.

I'm not sure how it is in other states, maybe some will pull over for it. Around here if you aren't speeding you have nothing to worry about.
