Hi Guys - Im new here - looking at getting a new truck - wife liked the Platinum Silver with mocha (brown?) leather - I prefer the Limited due to the tri-coat white - anyways the question I have is with respect to the soundproofing (SoundScreen windshield, foam insulation, thicker carpet, etc.) between these two trim levels.

Sales person indicated the Platinum is the only version with additonal soundproofing - which doesn't make sense to me.

Can anyone confirm that the Limited also has the same screen and sound proofing? Does the windshield indicate anywhere that the glass is indeed "Soundscreen"? My wife thinks the 6.2 will be too load at highway speeds without the additional soundproofing.

My 2011 Platinum has a 'Soundscreen' decal on the windshield. Location is lower part of windshield in front of the drivers seat.

Test drive and decide for yourself. I would suspect the Limited would also have the better soundproofing.

Didn't some post here that the Platinum had thicker glass all around?

I didn't see that sticker on my Harley, which has identical features to the Limited (except for the dual exit exhaust). Platinum's also have rain sensing wipers, which no other model has.

But even without the "soundscreen" windshield, the 6.2 is almost silent at highway speeds. So no concern for the misses.

The 6.2 is very quiet. Unless you hop on it. The major amount of cabin noise comes from the ac vents. They are just extremely loud at high fan speeds. And if you use climate control it will be on high the majority of the time. I wish there was a way to set the max automatic fan speed. Because if you just back it off a click or two it is much quieter.
