Default 2011 F150 Shudder

Just about three weeks ago I bought a brand new 2011 F150 Lariat 4x4 Super Crew with the 6.5' bed. For the most part I love the truck. However, it has a REALLY obnoxious shudder going between 1st and 2nd gear. The dealership told me it was driveshaft shudder due to the two piece driveshaft. They shimmed the driveshaft and it's no better. To me it feels like the truck is almost "fighting itself" in first gear, kind of like its not free to rotate the driveshaft. I don't even have the license plates yet and have had it in for this twice now. It's really frustrating.

Is this normal for these trucks? Can it be fixed? If not, what kind of damage can expect from the shudder as I continue to drive the truck?

Mine does it a little bit "sometimes", 1-2 and 2-1. The dealer said that it gets better as it breaks in, nothing they can do about it....
I have seen several other post on here for the same thing.

Same its probably happened 5 times in the month or so I have owned it, certainly less frequently then the first week where it happened 3 times.

When you take off, do it with a bit more gas and you will not notice the problem.

It is just a firm shift. Nothing to worry about.

You should not have to drive it meaner to avoid a shudder. My 2011 does the same thing every time I take off from a stop. It is getting worse over time.

Yep, mine does too. To suggest someone take off faster to solve an issue is ridiculous. Besides, mine shudders MORE when I take off faster. See my thread: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/take-o...elated-148596/
