Default 2011 f150 deal made

I made a deal today for a new 2011 F150. I emailed my dealer with the offer but a salesman called me back. I offered to pay Invoice+FDAF + tax + tag + title OTD. They agreed right away. I can't wait for the 2011 ordering guidelines to come out. Any idea who will have them first?

He also confirmed the V6 and the 5.0 would be in the new engine lineup but he didn't have any HP numbers. I want the 5 litre.

If they agreed "right away" then one can only think you offered too much- but congrats and you will love it!! (Wish I would have waited for the "11 especially coming from a 5.7 Tundra lol)

Yep, I think you were too fast on the offer. On another note, congrats and provide feedback on the new 5.0L Engine.

all negotiations on ordered vehicles are done at the time of delivery. unless you have it in writing, which they could still throw in the garbage, i wouldn't count on it. i do not know your relationship with your dealer, but that is standard procedure for this type of deal. i was a car salesman for 8 months.

Sledneck,

I know that either one of us could walk away from this deal right now but this guy did state as representative of the dealership that they would accept this deal. He hung up and called me back after I assumed he checked with his sales manager. I know I only have his word at the moment. Are you saying that this means nothing and that they will start a new negotiation when I sit down to order or for that matter, after the vehicle arrives at the dealership?

Am I understanding this right, and you're letting the dealer keep the rebates?

Good point Gator. We didn't discuss rebates since it is a 2011. I kind of doubt there will be any rebates that early on. When we talk next time I'll bring up the rebates and make sure that any rebates will go to me.
