To be honest I have no Idea the difference between cold/warm motor. My commute is 1.9 miles each way. I just assume it does it all of the time. I'll take better mental notes for longer drives. But I have to say it does worry me. What if the brakes are letting go? What if they decide to let go tegether? I never thought it was the trans, but Like I said. I am far from a tech, mechanic.

Details on my truck
2011 Screw XLT, ecoboost, 4x4 just short of 40k miles

I dont expect much from my vehicles-I just want them to work.

Default Updates?

Taking my truck in on Monday for its first oil change and I'm planning to discuss this issue with the service manager. Anyone who has experienced this issue found a resolution?

7700 miles on my truck now.

Thanks

I was told it was my brakes trying to release when the rear axle is under stress during the warm up period (~1000 rpms). Sounds like a safety issue to me but they said it was no big deal. I still don't think this is what it was by the way it felt but I needed my truck so I didn't ask any more questions so who knows. I'd definitely like you know you're told when you bring it up.

Unhappy Tsg 13-1-7

Well, took the truck in today for the first oil/filter change. Told them about the odd downshift / or whatever it is, that occurs on the first cold stop. They suggested installed TSB 13-1-7.

The description of the problem on that TSB doesn't match the issue I've experienced, but the dealer insisted that installing that TSB might fix the issue and we should try that first.

Guess we'll see in the next few days.

I dont think that tsb will fix the issue. I have the same problem, it feels like loose suspension components.

Default Fixed?

So, that TSB install seems to have resolved the issue. Or, they did something else and didn't tell me . Or, the transmission is still in its new learning phase and the issue will eventually return.

Will be towing 5000#s next week, we'll see if that makes any difference.

Fingers crossed
