Default 2013 HID Light issue

Has anyone had this issue with their 2013 HID lights? Since day one my HID lights flicker - like they are loose or something when driving on rough terrain or bumps. On the highway, and on smooth roads they are fine. Been waiting for someone else to mention this, but no one has. Suggestions before I take it in?

I have 3K on my 13 with HID's. No issues yet. I would take her in to get checked out. Use the warranty while you have it.

Mine do this on my 2013 when driving over rough roads.

In projector systems with combined low/high beams there is a "plate" that blocks off light while the lights are in low beam mode. I would guess it is just this plate jiggling around a little bit.

Mine have always done it. You don't notice it unless you look down at the road while driving.

This was my first thought.

It's never done it enough to bother me.

Yeah, my HID's do the same thing since day one also. Then again, we have crappy roads here in Oklahoma. Unfortunatley, I got used to it.

Great info. I think Ford should have a TSB fix for this...

Rodlg as op mentioned its a Poor Design on whoever built these for Ford! Probably teenagers in china! What it is doing, is the cutoff shield bounces around on rough roads due to a crummy spring that holds it up in place till you switch on your high-beams! Theres just way too much play in the cutoff shield, which is why everyone sees the jittering on rough roads! Unfortunately it normal, and the only way to fix it is to upgrade your projectors by retrofitting them with either Evo's or the FX-R's!!! Hope this helps...
