So I've had a million and one issues on my truck making me think this was my worst purchase decision ever.

Yesterday I took the truck in to have the recalled vaccum pump replaced. I got a call this am that the timing chain needs to be replaced. I've seen all the posts over the years and I've asked the dealer to check it several times. They've done everything but that in the past and always told me that it'd throw a code if it needed to be fixed.

Obviously Ford knows of this problem and they can see my extended issues. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did Ford cover any part of the bill?

Mileage? No warranty left I assume?

It's not just the timing chain that needs to be replaced it's the phasers as well. $2k+ job.

Around 120k miles and out of warranty. I've read through a few sites but I'll check the engines forum.
