Quality Hold F150

Quality Hold F150
On 12/15/11 I ordered an F150 with the Echo-Boost engine and after several delays was informed that it had been completed and was on the ramp for shipment. ( yes I have the VIN) After two weeks of waiting for the promised delivery of 3/6 to my Ford dealer I was told that the truck was still in Dearborn on some kind of quality hold. As of today, 21 days later, I can not find out if and when it will be released so that we can get a new ship date. Customer service has been to help.
Does anyone know how to get results at Ford?

You are not going to get a answer from ford. O.C. Holds are plant issues and even dealers aren't being told what the holdup is. Could for instance be a revised clip/nut/bolt that has to be replaced and are waiting for arrival to the plant. They don't stop production for small things. Average delivery time is 8-12 weeks. Where some arrive sooner (before ETA), others get to the dealer a little later.

Thanks
I did learn that they have 1100 trucks on hold for distorted windshields and they can't tell me how long it takes to replace them all.
This after many phone calls by me and the dealer

That's a bummer, but it's probably better they fix the problem before it gets into your hands. Best of luck, and try to find something to pass the time. From experience, browsing this forum is just going to make the wait so much harder. Your wallet will hate you, as well.

Sitting on ramp forever...
Arrived at dealership today.
Two days short of 13 weeks.
There were definately many, many trucks stuck on ramp 59, didn't seem to matter if it was dearborn or claycomo plant. There was the eco-boost TSB which came out to dealers, first week of Feb....There were also sync issues....no rhyme or reason, as long as its fixed and done right, don't care....saves going back to the dealership...but the waiting is hard, with no explanation from Ford.
