Weather has been awesome here lately. Drove mine in the rain this morning, temps. were in the 70's. Ascended a few hills, unable to get it to shudder. Later in the day, sunny in the low 80's, unable to get it to shudder.

I took my truck in today and had TSB 12-2-10 done. I was able to get it to shutter almost immediately upon leaving the stealership. However, I definitely agree with the couple of posts before this. As the weather has started to warm up here in TN the shutter is less pronounced and I have to try harder to make it do it. It sure would be nice if Ford came up with a fix once and for all.

Weather has been great here too. Still shudders as bad as it did when the weather was this nice last year, and when it was crappy over the winter, and like it is all the time. My shudder seems to be completely unaffected by weather.

Seems like those of us who had tsb 12-2-10 done back when the weather was in the 20-40 degree range have seen an improvement in our trucks with the warmer weather. Who has had the tsb done since the weather has been in the 60-70 degree range and now the shudder is worse or has remained the same?

My dealer will not do it unless it gives a code, they say they are liable if something goes wrong and Ford will not back them up.

Tell them to print it out and point out to them that it ONLY needs the code to replace the cat.
If it exhibits the shudder symptom, then the TSB applies for the update.

It was around 60 and raining here yesterday. My 55-60 shudder didn't happen yesterday on a 200mi plus trip in the rain. Had some stop and go traffic and the 0-5mph or whatever the low speed shudder was noticeable. Then on the way home while merging onto the interstate I had to punch it. It coughed sputtered shuddered and almost died, I let off a little and kept going but it shuddered terrible for about 1/4 to 1/2 mile before it finally cleared up. This was the first time this has happened with this truck. Kind of a sick feeling watching traffic come up on you fast and your truck nearly dies in the middle of the road.

This is what mine has done twice! This is a "major" safety issue. Unfortunetly, it will take people getting killed before Ford does something about these POS vehicles...............!

I feel the warmer weather is "fixing" the issue, not the TSB. My shudder is gone now that is has warmed into the 60's and 70's, never had the TSB done.
