Ok so Ford called me today. They said I had been running on only 2.5 qts of oil so they did 2 flushes, oil change, and re gapped the plugs. I asked if there was any damage to the rods or anything, and they said not that they can tell. This is where I'm concerned. When it first occurred, I took the vehicle in 2 days later. On the sheet they give you when you pick up the vehicle, they checked off that they checked all fluid levels and they were fine. They did the same when I took it back in after it was still missing. If there is an engine failure (thrown rod for example) this is on ford correct? They said everything was good 2 times and it is in writing from them that the oil level was fine. Now all of the issues are from low oil.

I pick it up in an hour. They called yesterday and said everything was good noe, but said I could pick it up after 12 today. Not sure why I couldn't get it then after they tested everything.

Update: picked truck up, and it runs like a top. However, I asked about the oil issue and they said their mechanics must have just penciled it in without checking.

I would freaking march back there and DEMAND they document it correctly.

I'm glad its documented like this. I've been driving it on 2.5 quarts since I originally took it in (about 1000 miles ago), during which 2 times they have documented that the oil level was good. I'm waiting on a catastrophic failure.... I'll be damned sure they are held liable.

So what actually fixed the problem? Gaping the plugs or the oil? Im going to assume it wasn't the oil but i had to ask. Its pretty sad that they can't take the time to check your oil correctly.

Well glad that fixed it. I'm running on full and still have the problem. I have be thinking it is between two things. 1 its a small miss in one of the cylinders, 2. it could be my lockup solnoid lossing power under a load and kicking it out of lock up in 6th gear or it has junk in the orphis of that solnoid. I have been playing the dealership role in my shop. Since the dealer doesnt want to get there hands dirty. So we'll see what that gets me.
