If you have a 2011 that hasn't been reflashed, the dealer should definitely be checking your program to see if its the latest. If you're having hard shifts, they would almost certainly update your program.

No hard shift here... Just that faint little studder when cruising at 45 to 55 mph...

Mine had this issue at 900 miles while driving on highway for 3 hours straight then I got on it merging on another freeway and the truck fell on its face. Went into dealer got new intercooler but it did it again last night on another long drive and as I passed a slow moving vehicle the truck fell on its face and shook and crap for 10 secs then went away. Why the issue again if I supposedly had the fix done?

I endured what you describe for 10,000 miles over 7 months in a 2012 F150 Platinum Crap O'Boost, and I had a number of close calls. Then I got tired of turning every trip in bad weather into a suicide mission, and I bought the fix Ford is offering. In my case, it cost $10,500 and is called 2013 F150 Platinum 6.2L. This move got also rid of the EPAS knocking and popping, but it got me another headache: the navigation doesn't really work, because the GPS is off by a few hundred feet. Guess what? "Ford doesn't have a fix for it". Where have I heard that before? Oh yes, from Ford! They can't fix the intercooler, or the EPAS, or the GPS. Did someone say "Dodge Ram"? Starts to sound pretty good to me.

I had the fix done also but no shuttering. Only extreme loss of power and torque since the Intercooler install with new update, I was told by ford that I should be happy that ford is willing to fix our problems and that we were spoiled with the power of the truck when I bought it, the update just moved the power further up rpm range and instead of a power curve now the graph looks like a ramp , when I asked about a dyno test graph to see , to verify smoke he was blowing up u know where, that's top secret info now. But before buying ur truck all that info was available. So to answer ur question depending on where u live and how u drive will determine which fix works for u, but at what cost to power, because they are lowering boost and changing shifting sequence to keep the turbos from spinning out the condensation, along with lowering ur fuel mileage!i would luv to see dyno test results of these trucks after the intercooler change!

Sorry to hear that. I was going to go have mine looked at since I thought that the new IC was going to take care of the condensation problems, along with the 55MPH acceleration shudder. I will leave mine as is since I have never experienced the "fall on your face" issue. Mine shudders and misses when accelerating slightly at 55MPh in sixth gear. Mileage has not dropped off and is at 18.3mpg. I think I will live with mine for now anyway, since the fix is still questionable. I have 30K on it now.

I personally think that the torque converter is the cause for my shudder. It does not engage/disengage at the proper time. But again, I don't want to take it in because my tranny shifts great otherwise.

Starting to get that dam slip yoke bump again, too.

Sorry, you guys are and having issues with your F150. I took a leap of faith on this F150 over another SD. Sometimes it better just to keep things simple (engines). I have a 2013 KR and if i experience constant issues, it will be sold. I just can't beleive ALL the different part issues people have, if you look at threads somebody has an issue with every little part on these trucks, there not all the same issue. If Ford adjusted your torque or power curve can you not get an independent shop to dyno and prove they reduced the engine intentionally. Or get a Ford dealer to dyno to have the proof in there face. I beleive if they did this then you should be entitled to go to Ford and ask for a new truck since they altered what they advertise on the EB and the truck does not meet the specs in there brochure? Follow the BBB guidelines as outlined in your owner manual.

Had my 12 Eco in the shop on Wednesday for the fall flat issue after a 210 mile trip last weekend in the rain. The dealer replaced the Cat and the CAC is on backorder. It appears the truck is more responsive and mpg seems to have improved, truck has under 5k miles on it. Not getting my hopes up though although I don't have the 55mph shudder so we will see.

There's a TSB for the 2013 Nav issues. You mentioned Ram, but they are having the exact same issue with their 2013 Nav system. Apparently the mapping software vendor must have some issues.
How do you like your 6.2 compared to your EcoBoost (when it was running well).

It doesn't look like any of the other responses answered your question so, let me give it a shot. IT'S BECAUSE FORD HAS NO FIX! It's all just smoke and mirrors to appease folks until their warranty expires! After 227 pages of responses here, and not one vehicle has had a permanent fix, it seems to me everyone would've figured that out by now! We all just have to either live with it or get rid of it. Those are the only two options, because Ford isn't going to help us, simple as that! I for one will not waste my time, gas and money traipsing back and forth to the dealer hoping for some sort of satisfaction, but I do like reading about y'all's experiences.
