2011+ 55-60mph 5.0 Shuddering and EcoBoost Engine Miss/Loss of Power - Possible Fixes

2012(build date 7/2012) SC ,ECO, platinum,157" WB ,3.73 rear , 1,900 miles
Went to pass a trailer had a quick shudder (1-2 seconds) and lost power. No engine light came on. Got to side of road ,hit the hazard lights,turned key off , then started back up. Ran another 300 miles without incident.
Conditions were wet, dewpoint was 60-65 temp was 55 - 60
North of the POCONOS

SHUDDER FIX...only
I have experienced everything described in this forum. The dealer has performed every tsb available for the shudder, including the IC shroud and cat replacement. Actually, the dealer has been very respectful and responsible in their attempt find solutions. The usual response from Ford has been "do not attempt any repairs at this time. Engineering is investigating..." So after 58K miles I tell myself I have been overly patient and decide to call Ford. They ask me to take my truck to the dealer who then has it for a week. The tech puts 100 miles on it (and I am glad he did) so he can live with/experience the shudder. After some communication(?) with engineering(?) they decide to replace the throttle body-air intake. The rationale is the throttle body is where everything comes together---throttle position, fuel, air and computer. When the dealer calls me to say the truck it is fixed, I am skeptical---but when I drive it, it is like a different vehicle. So, believing "new brooms sweep clean", I continue to drive it waiting for the shudder to return. The truck now has over 60K on it and the shudder has not returned. That is the good news... The bad news is the truck still goes into limp mode occasionally while under full throttle. Obviously, the two issues are not related...

I experienced this with my brand new truck with less than 200 miles on the truck. It was definitely wet when it happened. Drove the truck about 300 more miles and then a check engine light popped on. It was P0430, there is a new TSB 12-06-04 that installs the air deflector on the IC, reflashes the PCM, and also replaces left bank cat if the P0430 code is there. So far so good after this was done.

This has been going on for what, about a year now? I truly feel bad for you guys. It shouldn't be up to the owners to try and figure out the problem .. but of course I heard there is a "new update" coming soon
I'm sorry you guys are going through this but the good part, at least for me, is because it is still going on I know I made the right decision and believe me I struggled with it before and after I dumped mine. From what I gather on here I actually came out better on mine selling it outright back to the dealer than some on here that went the lemon law/arbitration route.

Likely thousands more than you are aware of. I think it's a case of driving the truck in certain conditions that turns the engine into a water making device...then it ingests it's self-made water and pukes 
I'm not worried though. If zombies invade and water becomes a scarce resource I can use the Ecoboost to make water.
