Install a petcock on your IC, and open it up after a long trip to see if there actually is water coming out. It's one thing to speculate, and another to know for sure.

Nope this is the exact same feeling as if the engine just ran out of gas.
Just a complete misfire. And since it's only happened [to me anyway] driving in rain or driving in just high humidity and going from warmer to colder temperature ~ condensation makes sense. That and they've got OASIS 22225.
Installing a petcock will likely void your warranty unfortunately. I'd like to do it though.

One of those poppet valves that release air and water on the big rigs would do it too! LOL Get an electric one, push a button and PISSST, out blows the moisture.

Reading that, maybe you guys who have had it fall flat on its face wasn't an engine problem, but the transmission binding. It would show the same exact problem!

Didn't take any pics and not going to take things apart to do so. But, it's pretty easy. Once you take off enough stuff to get access to the intercooler/IC, you drill a hole in the bottom of one of the side tanks. You get a new petcock from the parts store and buy a nut that the petcock will thread into. You then mix up a batch of two part epoxy (JB Weld) and glue the nut over the hole. I drilled 4 or 5 small holes around the large hole to force the epoxy into for a more secure bond. When it's all set up good and hard, you thread in the petcock and viola you now have a drain for the IC.
The reason you use a nut to thread the petcock into is two fold. First, to thread the tank and just screw it in there isn't a good idea. It's two thin and you wouldn't want a blowout under turbo pressure. Second, if ya did decide to just screw it into the tank, the opening of the petcock would be pretty high above the bottom of the tank and you'd not get enough water out to accomplish your goal. The nut is actually a spacer to lower the opening of the petcock to drain as much water as possible.
Hope this helps.

If the petcock idea worked, someone needs to come up with a clean design and manufacture an aftermarket IC with that integrated into it..
Just look at how well the Roadmaster suspension kit group buy went. I spoke to a manager from there on the phone yesterday and he said they can barely keep the F-150 kits in stock.
Looks like the aftermarket could stand to really clean up fixing Fords poor engineering/research.
Well, thats one way to stimulate the economy.
Well done Ford.

Drove through a thunderstorm yesterday with very heavy rain/hail. Temp dropped from 70 degrees to 58 degrees in a matter of minutes. I had on a large load so I did not stomp on it to see if it lost power, but the fuel mileage went down drastically, just like the last time I was towing in cool, damp conditions. Pulled over to try and stay out of the hail and the I/C was steaming pretty good. The other time I punched it and lost all power. Didn't want to do that this time with a 24' flatbed, four wheelers and a dirtbike on the way home from the cabin. It also seemed to downshift on small hills more often than prior to going through the storm. Still waiting.
