You can't please everybody, and anybody that tries to never succeeds, in any business. If you were my customers I would have bought back your "lemons", happily refunded your money, and banished you from ever doing business with me again.

The fact that these issues have been recreated on trucks that otherwise run fine have given you more than enough information to fix your own problems. Stop whining.
I agree that they have no responsibility to me but I don't agree that only 5% suffer from the issues. I know 6 people now that have ecoboosts in an f150, the 6th just got a 2013. He's the only one of us that hasn't had the issue. Now, as I'd stated before I've done everything I can to work with Ford and my dealer to identify the problem and find a solution. After I got the new cac, I noticed a loss in power. They've since changed the coils and cat again. I removed the two shields and haven't had another problem since all of that until last week. I noticed fluid dripping from the rear end after pulling my boat home and experiencing the shift issues. They've fixed the loss of power problem but the hard downshift from 5th to 4th when towing hasn't stopped.

They ended up having to repair the pinion seal but have yet to address the shift issue. I'm far from a whiner after now WAY too many trips back for repair. Like I've said before, Ford will view cust serv much differently if another manufacturer develops an engine to compete with the ecoboost and they realize a loss in sales. It's business, you're right, and they owe me nothing more than honor the warranty.

Stop whining? Voice of Reason...I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you are not a successful business owner. Probably someone that ran their own business into the ground by exhibiting such a ****ty attitude.
Yes, Ford does owe me something. This is a business agreement. I purchased a product that they promised would operate correctly. It doesn't. And they have to fix it. End of discussion.
Now, this is when you tell me that you run a Fortune 500 company and that this attitude has served you well in the business environment for decades and that this self-made man you are is rich beyond his wildest dreams because of his uncanny business acumen and prowess...blah, blah, blah. Go troll somewhere else, *******.

Sorry but i did not read through the 200+ pages to see if this was mentioned. But....
I had the same issues and symptoms. A tech at the dealer found that a pc of foam from behind the fender became loose and was blocking the air intake.
Reached up pulled it out, reset the computer and fixed! never happened again.
Just a FYI.

One of the top ten dumbest things I've ever heard, right up there with Pelosi saying "we need to pass the bill to see what's in it."
Voice of Reason? Maybe a name change would be appropriate at this point!

I agree. I think Voice of Ford sounds about right. He never did get back to us about how his latest spark plug gapping and air pressure adjustment worked out for him as far as solving the shudder issue. I'm thinking he needs to do the air pressure adjustments in 1/4lb increments to find the sweet spot.

Well, look at this, a useful response that people can actually look at if curious enough.
Now if something there gets wet in the rain and loosens up, sucks up against the air intake under full throttle.....
Perhaps some owners who can repeat the fall on it's face issue could investigate this possibility.
Of course this does nothing for those with a cold air intake with different air entry locations.

One of the other things they found on mine was the ground strap on the bak of the engine wasn't connected. They said it must have come from the factory that way but it didn't change anything

Exclamation

Watch all the video's by this user. i'd be thoroughly p*issed off too if my truck ran like this guys does. Even had a taped conversation with a FORD rep, and all she could do is provide excuses and tell him he selected the "wrong" truck to tow with! LOL

Not sure this guy is a member on this forum, but he should be. (video looks better if you go directly to youtube)
